(Walnut, CA) For the second game in a row, host Mt. San Antonio College (5-4-7, 3-1-2) held its opponent scoreless, this time in a 3-0 South Coast Conference crossover win against Compton College (5-7-2, 1-5) on Friday, Oct. 20.

The game was scoreless for most of the first half, but then the Mounties had an offensive burst when Jason A. Garcia (Rafael Avalos assist) and Victor Fregoso (Jason A. Garcia assist) scored in the 41st and 42nd minutes, respectively, to put the hosts up 2-0 at halftime.

The score stayed that way until the 84th minute when Rafael Galvez put the icing on the cake for Mt. SAC on an assist from Diego Marchan.

The Mounties' defense prevented the Tartars from attempting any shots on goal, which made things easy for Daniel Ramirez who tended goal all 90 minutes.

Tied for first with Rio Hondo College (7-7-2, 4-2) in the SCC North standings, Mt. SAC will host Cerritos College (9-4-3, 3-1-2) in an SCC crossover game on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 4:30 p.m.
