Mt. SAC Men's Soccer shuts out Pasadena in SCC North game

(Walnut, CA) In a South Coast Conference North Division game, host Mt. San Antonio College (4-4-7, 2-1-2) hit high gear early and cruised to a 6-0 win over Pasadena City College (6-6-3, 1-3-1) on Tuesday, Oct. 17.

Jason A. Garcia put the Mounties on the board in the 19th minute on an assist from Kenneth Flores. Allan Rosales followed up with a pair of goals, one in the 30th minute (Jason A. Garcia assist) and one in the 45th minute (Frank Gonzalez assist), to put the hosts up 3-0 at halftime.

Victor Fregoso kept the Mt. SAC scoring going in the second half with a goal in the 65th minute on an assist from Rosales. Goals by Everardo Escobar (Gonzalez assist) in the 70th minute and Nicolas Magana (Fregoso assist) in the 75th minute concluded the game's scoring.

Daniel Ruiz tended to goal all 90 minutes for the Mounties, making three saves.

Mt. SAC will host Compton College (5-6-2, 1-4) in an SCC crossover game on Friday, Oct. 20, at 4:30 p.m. The Tartars are coming off an 8-0 SCC loss to El Camino College (13-1, 5-0).
