(Oceanside, CA) Following a string of three consecutive ties, Mt. San Antonio College tacked one on in the win column with a 2-0 non-conference victory over host MiraCosta College (0-3-1) on Thursday, Sept. 14.

Frank Gonzalez put the Mounties (2-1-4) up early, scoring on an assist from Abel Salazar in the 7th minute. Cole McConnell added to Mt. SAC's lead in the 50th minute on an assist from Nicolas Magana to secure the win.

Goalie Daniel Ramirez held the Spartans scoreless, making two saves in 90 minutes.

The Mounties return home for a non-conference game against San Bernardino Valley College (5-0-2) on Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 6 p.m. The Wolverines have only allowed two goals this season while scoring 12. Mt. SAC has posted 10 goals this season, while allowing eight.

The Mounties are undefeated all-time against San Bernardino, winning the four previous matchups, including a 3-1 victory in 2022.
