(Walnut, CA) The Mt. SAC Men's Basketball Team (15-9, 7-5) extended their winning streak to 5 games with a, 87-79 (BOX SCORE), conference win over El Camino-Compton Educational Center.  Earlier in the year, the Tartars had defeated the Mounties by a point (67-68) and the first half looked like a repeat of that game, with the Mounties down by a point at the half, 36-37.  The Mounties came alive in the second half, taking a commanding lead which they did not relinquish, to keep their hopes for a fifth consecutive conference championship alive.  

With the win, the Mounties will play at East Los Angeles College, this Friday night (02/21) at 7:00 pm.  The Huskies are all that stand in the way of the Mounties capturing another conference crown.  The Mounties have had an incredible late season run.  Since their 0-4 start in conference, they have won 7 of their last 8 games.
