Bob Jastrab Captures 100th Career Win

(Walnut, CA) Mounties Head Football Coach, Bob Jastrab, captured his 100th career victory against L.A. Harbor College, this past Saturday, (November 1st, 2014) when the Mounties defeated the visiting Seahawks, 62-14, at Hilmer Lodge Stadium.  Jastrab becomes the first California Community College Football Coach in history to reach this milestone in less than 10 seasons.

"This is a great accomplishment for our football program.  I would like to thank the coaches, players, administration and supporters, for their hard work and dedication," replied Jastrab.  "I would especially like to thank God for his guidance and for giving me this oppportunity to coach at the best community college in the country."

Since taking over the program in 2005, Jastrab has accomplished what most coaches could only dream of.  He has captured 2 National Championships, 2 CCCAA State Championships (2009, 2010), 5 CCCAA Southern California Championships and is undefeated in 8 bowl game appearances.  From 2007 to 2011, he led the Mounties to 5 consecutive CCCAA State Championship appearances, as well as 5 Southern California and 5 bowl game championships.

An extremely humble and honest individual, Jastrab often deflects his accolades to his staff and team.  He has earned numerous Coach of the Year Honors and in 2010, Jastrab reached the pinnacle of Community College Football Coaching, when he was named the American Football Coaches Association National Community College Coach of the Year.
