Former Mountie Kaelin Clay Earns ESPN's Top 10, #1 Play of the Day

(Salt Lake City, UT)  Former Mountie of the Year, Kaelin Clay, led the Utah Football Team to a, 56-14, win over Idaho State in the Utes season and home opener, on Thursday (08/29/14).  His amazing performance earned him the number one spot on ESPN's Top 10 Play's of the Day.  Clay's evening included a 46 yard punt return and a 100 yard kickoff return, both for touchdowns.  He also had 2 receptions for 13 yards, giving him 159 all-purpose yards.

Clay, a community college All-American and All-State Selection, was a intregal part of the Mounties success the last two seasons.  The 4-2-4 (4 year to 2 year to 4 year institution) transfer from Cal Berkeley scored 28 touchdowns in his two seasons with the Mounties.  One of his most memorable performances was his 2013 game winning 78 yard kick off return touchdown against cross town rival Citrus.   

The Utes and Clay will next take on Fresno State, at home, on Saturday, September 6th.
