(Walnut, CA) Seven Mounties earned 2015 All-South Coast Conference Honors. Dustin Frailey earned first team honors for the second time. Frailey, a graduate of Alta Loma HS, led the team in eight offensive categories on the season. Frailey batted .402 with 55 hits on 137 plate appearances (9 doubles, 6 triples, 1 homerun), 21 RBI's and 23 stolen bases.
SCC Second Team All-Conference pitching honors went to freshmen starter, Josh Avila and reliever, Andrew Matus. Avila went 5-2 in conference, with two complete games, an ERA of 2.21 and 28 strike outs. Matus appeared in 12 conference games (21.2 innings pitched) and was 1-3 with five saves, 15 strikeouts and a ERA of 2.08.
SCC Second Team All-Conference Player honors went to sophomore catcher, Edgar Cabral and shortstop, Travis Santiago. Cabral earned All-SCC honors for a second time by batting .331, with five HR's and 32 RBI's. Defensively he threw out seven base stealers with a fielding percentage of .978. Santiago batted .316 with 14 RBI's and 2 triples.
Sophomores, Ethan Etchebarren (Pitcher) and Dylan Lowenstein (First Base) were named to the SCC Honorable Mention list.
