(Walnut, CA) Over 22,000 runners are expected to compete at the 68th Annual Brooks Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational.  The world's largest cross country competition will be held on October 16th, 23rd and 24th on the challenging and historic Mt. SAC Cross Country Course.  On Friday, October 16th, the community college division will feature 24 colleges and over 500 runners.   The women's invitational race will be run at 10:00 am and the men's invitational will follow at 10:45 am.  Later that afternoon over 4,500 elementary and middle school children will tackle the venerable Mt. SAC Course. 

The following Friday and Saturday, October 23rd and 24th will be the high school division.  Over 17,800 runners, representing over 560 high schools are registered and ready to compete in 109 races, over the two days of competition.

• 555,950 miles = Total distance that will be run by the competitors in this years event
