(Walnut, CA) Mt. SAC Women's Soccer Program will begin their quest for a third California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Championship (1995), this Saturday (11/20). The #4 seed Mounties (14-2-5) received one of the programs highest seeds ever in the SoCal Regional Playoffs and will host #13 seed, and crosstown rival, Citrus college (11-5-4), at 7:00 pm.
The winner of the game will take on the winner of the San Diego Mesa (#5 seed) and College of the Canyons (#12 seed) match, on Tuesday (11/23), at a time yet to be determined.
The Mt. SAC Women's Soccer Program, under Co-Head Coaches Juan Sanchez and Rachel Schmid, have taken the program in a new direction. The staff has led the 2021 team to a SCC Tournament Championship and a 2nd place overall finish in the South Coast Conference.
