Mt. SAC and Golden West finish in a draw

(Walnut, CA) For the second straight game, Mt. SAC (4-2-2) played to a 1-1 tie, first against San Bernardino last week, this time against Golden West (1-2-3) on Wednesday.

The Mounties struck first in the 15th minute when Kayla Allen found the back of the net on an unassisted goal. The Rustlers added a goal in the 27th minute to tie the game at one, where the score remained.

Goalie Leila Peregrina played 90 minutes in goal for Mt. SAC, making two saves and allowing one goal.

Next up for the Mounties is a home tilt against Fullerton (3-0-1) on Friday, Sept. 24, at 5 p.m., that will conclude non-conference play. The team's South Coast Conference schedule begins on Tuesday, Oct. 5, against Los Angeles Harbor in Wilmington.
