Mt. San Antonio Wins 13th Consecutive SCC Supremacy Title

(Walnut, CA) The Mt. SAC Athletics Program captured its 13th consecutive South Coast Conference (SCC) Athletic Supremacy Crown.  The Mounties fall and winter sports scored 239.5 points to take the title by the largest margin this century, 74.5.

Mt. SAC captured SCC conference championships in Women's Basketball, Women’s Beach Volleyball (1st time in school history), Men’s Cross Country, Women’s Cross Country, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, Softball, Men’s Swim & Dive, Women’s Swim & Dive, Men’s Track & Field, and Women’s Volleyball as well as a conference championship in Men’s Wrestling (Southern California Wrestling Association Southwest Conference) during the 2022-2023 season.

Long Beach City College secured the second position with a score of 165, closely followed by El Camino in third place with a score of 150. Cerritos claimed the fourth spot with a score of 144.

This year's championship also marked the twelfth consecutive SCC Athletic Supremacy Award for Director of Athletics, Joe Jennum, and second for Associate Director of Athletics, Tammy Knot-Silva. 

In the past 20 years, Mt. SAC has captured the prestigious award 15 times, Cerritos College five times (1 tie with Mt. SAC), and Long Beach City College three times.
