Mt. SAC Celebrates Opening and Ground Breaking of Athletics Complex East Projects

(Walnut, CA) The official ground breaking and opening ceremonies of the various new Athletics Complex East (ACE) facilities were held on June 11, prior to the college’s 75th graduation ceremonies.

Due to the current CoVID situation, the small private event was attended by local city dignitaries and members of the Mt. SAC Board of Trustees, President’s Cabinet, building occupants and Citizens Oversight Committee.

The Athletics Complex East is comprised of Hilmer Lodge Stadium, Flex Field/Practice Track, Practice Field, Tennis Courts, Champions Parking Structure (lot R) and will shortly include Heritage Hall (museum, conference center and Kinesiology, Athletics and Dance Division Offices), Gymnasium/Wellness Center, swimming complex and new parking structure S.
