(Cleveland, OH) Mt. SAC Director of Athletics Joe Jennum was named the 2019-20 National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Under Armour National Community College Athletics Director of the Year. The award spans seven collegiate divisions across the country including the NCAA, NAIA and Community College levels.
Jennum will receive this prestigious honor on June 9th, at the 55th Annual NACDA Convention to be held at the Mandalay Bay Resort, in Las Vegas. The Athletics Director of the Year Award honors and highlights the efforts of 28 athletics directors, at all levels, for their commitment and positive contributions to student-athletes, campuses and their surrounding community.

"This is a tremendous honor, one that cannot be achieved by one person," replied Jennum. "The award would not be possible without my staff, coaches, student-athletes and the tremendous support of our administration and Board of Trustees. This is truly an honor that belongs to everyone here at Mt. SAC!"
Jennum has directed the 23 sports of the mighty Mountie Athletics Program since August of 2010. During his tenure he has guided Mt. SAC to a prestigious Learfield Sports Directors Cup Championship (2014-15), multiple NATYCAA Cup Championships in the state association division (2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016*, 2017*, 2018 and 2019) along with 26 California Community College Athletics Association (CCCAA) State Championships, making Mt. SAC the premier athletics program among California’s 115 Community Colleges. During this time, Mt. SAC Athletics also set the NATYCAA Cup State Association record for highest score (187.50 adjusted / 222 non-adjusted), as well as having the next three highest scores in history.
