Mt. SAC Athletics Welcomes New Mt. SAC Athletic Trainer, Elva Salcido

(Walnut, CA) Elva Salcido was hired as the newest member of the Mt. SAC SAC Athletic Training Staff, as a permanent part-time staff member.  A graduate of the Cal State Fullerton Athletic Training Program, she is no stranger to Mt. SAC Athletics, having served her clinical rotation here with Head Athletic Trainer Andy Paulin and the Mt. SAC Football Team.

Her Mt. SAC Team Duties will include the Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Pep Squad, Men’s Tennis, Women’s Tennis and Women’s Volleyball Teams.

Prior to arriving at Mt. SAC, Salcido worked with ATvantage Athletic Training as Head Athletic Trainer at Covina High School.

Born and raised in El Monte (CA), Salcido prepped at Mountain View High School, where she was a three sport athlete, before transferring to Charter Oak High School for her final two high school years.  She received her Bachelors of Science Degree, in Athletic Training, from Cal State Fullerton and received her Board of Certification from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, in 2014.

In her spare time, Salcido enjoys watching sports (especially Los Angeles Teams), going to the beach and barbecuing with family and friends.  She currently resides in Covina, California.
