(Sacramento, CA) The Mt. SAC Athletic Program captured their fourth National Alliance of Two-Year Collegiate Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) Cup in the past 6 years.  The annual award honors California's top overall community college athletic program based upon state championship finishes.  The Mounties scored 176.5 points (second highest point total in history) to capture the cup for the second consecutive season, becoming the first college to win back-to-back and 4 titles in NATYCAA Cup History.

Since the inception of the NATYCAA Cup Award eleven years ago, the Mounties have won or placed second in 9 of the 11 years.  Mt. SAC also has 3 of the 4 highest scores (177.5, 176.5, 173.5) in history.

NATYCAA is the professional organization of two-year college athletic administrators and membership is open to all two-year institutions throughout the country. The NATYCAA Awards were designed to recognize and reward overall program excellence at the two-year college level.  The criterion for the State Association’s division was developed by the CCCAA in conjunction with the California Community College Sports Information Association.  A college is awarded points based on its team’s final positions in post-conference competition. Each college’s top-five men’s and top-five women’s team results count toward the school’s overall point total.
