Mt. SAC Women's Cross Country Takes Third at Fresno Invitational

(Fresno, CA) The Mt. SAC Women's Cross Country Team compiled a team score of 109 points, good enough to finish third at the 2019 Fresno City College Invitational at Woodward Park on Saturday. Glendale took the top spot with a team score of 26 points while Hartnell came in second with 46 points.

With times of 20:01.3 and 20:03.4, top Mt. SAC runners Sadie Encinas and Yesenia Flores finished in 13th and 14th places, respectively.

Mountie racers who finished in the top 40 included Kaitlyn Atkinson (20:39.2, 24th place), Chloe Davis (21:04.7, 30th), Janiah Brown (21:27.3, 36th), Julianne Ibarra (21:28.8, 37th), Evelyn Peralta (21:30.2, 38th), and Pricilla Poulter (21:30.2, 39th).

On Friday, Sept. 13, Mt. SAC will compete in the Southern California Preview Meet at Mission Park in San Diego. The meet will begin at 10 a.m.
