(Cerritos, CA) At the Annual South Coast Conference (SCC) Cross Country Meeting, Mt. SAC Coaches, Doug Todd (women) and Daniel Ozan (men) were named SCC Cross Country Coaches of the Year. Both coaches captured 2016 SCC Championship Titles with their respective team.
For Ozan, this is his second consecutive SCC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year Honor. He led the Mounties to an incredible performance at the SCC Championships, where the team captured a fourth consecutive SCC Championship, scoring a mere 17 points (15 points is a perfect score).
For Todd this marks his 33rd SCC Championship (cross country/track & field) and his 9th SCC Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year Honor.
Freshman Trelani Waters was named SCC Male Cross Country Athlete of the Year. Along with Waters, 10 other Mountie Men and six Mountie Women earned SCC first or second team honors.
