(Walnut, CA) The Mt. SAC Women's Wrestling team split their dual matches Thursday (March 16), first defeating East Los Angeles College 30-16, with a pin (2:21) by Megan Irwin in the 128 Lb. weight class and four forfeit wins.
The Mounties then had a 16-12 lead against the Falcons, after Irwin's major decision (14-1), and a pin by Sofia Vergara at 2:11, however, Cerritos won the following three weight classes by pin, as well as a forfeit win, resulting in a 36-16 loss for Mt. SAC.
The next competition will be the Leader of the Pack tournament on Saturday, March 18 at East Los Angeles College.
