(Chula Vista, CA) In the opening round of the California Community College Athletic Association Women's Water Polo Southern California Championships, No. 5 seed Ventura (20-6) defeated No. 12 Mt. SAC (12-18) by the score of 9-5 on Thursday at Southwestern College.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Pirates dominated, taking a 2-0 lead at halftime and a 7-1 advantage through three. The Mounties outscored Ventura, 4-2, in the fourth, but it proved to be too little, too late.
The defeat concludes Mt. SAC's season. See you in 2022!
