(El Cajon, CA) Moorpark College (4-1) and Grossmont College (3-3) defeated Mt. San Antonio College (6-3) in non-conference matches at the Grossmont Classic on Friday, Sept. 9.

The Raiders bested the Mounties in three by the scores of 25-13, 25-20, 26-24. Top players for Mt. SAC included Riley DeGroot (six kills, 12 digs), Kylie Rhodes (12 assists) Capri Salmon (10 assists), Riannel Arevalo (eight digs), Bristol Christelman (eight digs), and Victoria Arnold (eight kills).
Grossmont 3 Mt. SAC 0
The host Griffins handed the Mounties their second defeat of the day, 25-18, 25-8, 25-23. JJ Quarrels (nine digs) led Mt. SAC with seven kills, while Arevalo and DeGroot (four kills) led the team in digs with 12 and 11, respectively. Other top players included Rhodes (10 assists) and Angelina Burton (four kills).
The Mounties return to action at home on Wednesday, Sept. 14, against Chaffey College (4-5) at 6 p.m.
