(Walnut, CA) The Mounties, 14-13 overall, 6-2 SCC north and seeded 17th, will travel to take on #16 Orange Coast College. in a play-in match, this Saturday at 7:00 pm.
The winner of the match will play either #1 Irvine Valley or #2 Mira Costa, depending on the winner of the #15 Pasadena City and #18 Ventura match (lowest orginal seed will play Irvine Valley).
Mt. SAC freshman Malia Carr was named the South Coast Conference (SCC) North Division Librero of the Year.
All-SCC First Team and All-Southern California Regional selection, Jordon Wilson, led the SCC with 266 kills on the year. Sierra Lujan (139 kills overall, 62 in conference) and Brianda Valdez (396 asst. overall, 147 in conference) were also named to the All-SCC First Team. Shaianne Palos and Lindsey Lane were named to the all-conference second team.
