Mt. SAC Women’s Volleyball Swept by No. 15 LBCC 3-0 in South Coast Conference Crossover Match

(Walnut, CA) After getting back on the winning track on Wednesday against Rio Hondo, No. 15 state-ranked Long Beach City College swept (3-0) the Mt. SAC Women's Volleyball team Friday evening at the Mountie Gym.

The Mounties loss by scores of 25-21, 25-15, 25-21 in a South Coast Conference crossover match.

Mt. SAC (9-12 overall) sophomore middle blocker Jordon Wilson led the Mounties with 9 kills and freshman opposite Jada Sharpe added five.

Freshman setter Brianda Valdez led the team with 10 assists and had seven digs for the Mounties, while freshman setter Leslie Perez contributed with nine assists and had three digs.

Freshman defensive specialist Malia Carr and freshman outside hitter Sierra Lujan (4 kills, 2 service aces) led the team in digs with 16 and 11 respectively.

The Mounties will travel to L.A. Harbor (6 p.m.) on Wednesday and will host Cerritos College (6 p.m.) on Friday for the final two crossover matches of the season before they finish the regular season SCC North schedule with four matches.
