Several Mountie Women's Track athletes turn in top-three performances at Ben Brown Invite

(Fullerton, CA) The Mt. San Antonio College Women's Track and Field team competed against 27 teams that included community colleges and four-year universities at the Ben Brown Invitational/AstroAI Distance Classic at Cal State Fullerton on Friday and Saturday, March 10-11. Mountie athletes finished first in two events, second in one and third in another.

Amari Weatherford finished first in the 100 meters and 200 meters with times of 11.72 seconds and 23.90 seconds, respectively. The squad of Weatherford, Jaiden Hill, Tatiana Sprock, and Charisma Collins took second in the 4x100 relay with a time of 46.97 seconds. In the long jump, Ahnyx Bush came in third with a leap of 5.55 meters.

On Saturday, Mt. SAC distance runners participated in the Occidental College Distance Carnival and Spring Break Classic, competing against runners from more than 40 colleges and universities. The top Mountie performance was from Fernanda Degollado who finished eighth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:20.27.
