Mt. SAC Women’s Tennis wins third straight, 8-1, over MSJC

(San Jacinto, CA) The Mt. SAC Women's Tennis team, with its 8-1 win over host Mt. San Jacinto College on Thursday (March 9), won its third straight match and fifth in the last six.

With the win, the Mounties improved to 5-2 overall and 4-1 in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference.

The Mounties won five of the six singles matches and swept all three doubles. They swept four of the five singles matches. The five victories were: No. 1 Jahday Drewery (6-1, 6-3), No. 2 Lydia Jong (6-1, 6-1), No. 3 Lara Rizkallah (6-2, 6-1), No. 4 Anh Ngyuen (6-1, 6-2) and No. 6 Ebe Romero (2-6, 6-4, 10-6).

The three doubles teams of No. 1 Drewery/Rizkallah (8-1), No. 2 Jong/Ngyuen (8-1), and Rodriguez/Romero (8-4) finished off the win over MSJC.

The Mounties continue IEAC action next Thursday (March 16) against College of the Desert.
