They defeated Cerritos, 216-61, and El Camino, 166-111 to remain undefeated at 4-0 in conference.
"It was a great team effort by the women," Mt. SAC Coach Chris Jackson said. "Many girls had to swim events they wouldn't normally swim to better our chances in this meet. Across the board I am very pleased with the way the girls adapted."
As a team the Mounties came away with six first-place finishes out of the 14 events against Cerritos and El Camino, but depth once again was the big factor in the two wins.
Two individual double-winners were freshman Jerica Djapri (100 Backstroke – 1:05.46; 200 Backstroke – 2:21.57) and sophomore Kaitlyn Dickinson (200 Freestyle – 2:09.11; 500 Free – 5:35.18). The 500 for Dickinson was a very close win.
Dickinson was also part of the winning 400 Free Relay (4:02.28), along with sophomores Megan Banh and Jazzie Hernandez and freshman Angelica Quesada.
Quesada also finished first in the 200 Individual Medley (Dickinson, 2nd – 2:31.70) with a time of 2:29.87, while Hernandez was first in the 200 Butterfly (2:32.70) and second in the 100 Free.
Sophomore distance swimmer Hannah Schmidt was second in both the 1,000 Free (12:20.78) and the 200 Breaststroke (3:03.70).
Sophomore sprint specialist Breana Delgadillo was second in the 50 Free with a time of 28.59.
In the 1 and 3 meter diving events the Mounties took positions two through five, led by freshman Haley Service (2nd – 135.75).
The Mounties will host a double dual this Friday (March 24) against Rio Hondo and Chaffey, starting at 12:30 p.m.
