Mountie Women's Soccer blanks Pasadena in SCC North game

(Pasadena, CA) Mt. San Antonio College (14-1, 6-0) handed host Pasadena City College (6-8-2, 2-3-1) a 4-0 South Coast Conference North Division defeat on Friday, Oct. 21, running its winning streak to 12.

Kaylee Gutierrez led the Mounties with two goals on assists from Fatima Arnold/Karissa Vela and Veronica Aquino, as Vela added a goal on an assist by Arnold. The other Mt. SAC goal came on an own-goal score by the Lancers.

Leila Peregrina played all 90 minutes in goal for the Mounties, holding Pasadena scoreless with four saves.

Ranked No. 2 in the state in the most recent California Community College Sports Information Association poll, Mt. SAC will travel to Torrance for an SCC crossover game against El Camino College (10-4-1, 4-2) on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 2 p.m.
