(Whittier, CA) Goals from Giselle Valdez in the 10th minute and Liani Sanchez in the 39th weren't enough for Mt. SAC, as the Mounties (6-3-2) came away with a 3-2 loss to host Rio Hondo College (5-1-2) on Tuesday night. Britany Serrano assisted on both Mt. SAC goals.
With the match tied, 2-2, late in the first half, the Roadrunners scored what proved to be the decisive goal in the 42nd minute.
Goalkeeper Gabrielle Leon had three saves while allowing three scores in 90 minutes for the Mounties.
Mt. SAC will host East Los Angeles (1-5-1) on Friday, Oct. 4, at 2 p.m.
