Mt. SAC Women’s Golf Finishes Fourth at Desert Invitational

Palm Desert, Calif. – The Mt. SAC Women's Golf team secured a fourth-place finish out of six teams at the two-day Desert Invitational, hosted by College of the Desert at Lakes Country Club. The Mounties posted a team score of 714.

Reedley College claimed the top spot with a dominant score of 655. Orange Coast followed in second with 666, while Modesto finished just ahead of Mt. SAC in third at 709. Rounding out the standings, Delta placed fifth with 758, and host College of the Desert came in sixth with 899.

Team captain Kaitlyn Wang led the way for the Mounties, carding a total of 169 (86, 83) over the two rounds. Close behind was Kyrie Padero with a 170 (82, 88). Leah Garcia added a 185 to the team total, and Abigail Price completed the scoring with a 190.

NEXT UP:

The Mounties will host the next contest at El Prado Golf Course in Chino on Wednesday, September 3.
