Mounties compete in first Orange Empire Conference Tournament of the season

(San Jacinto, CA) After almost two years away from the golf course as a college team, the Mt. SAC Women's Golf team is back in action with its first action of the 2021 CCCAA season.

The Mounties traveled to San Jacinto and competed in the first of eight Orange Empire Conference events.

Wednesday, September 8, Mt. SAC was at the Soboba Springs Country Club, which was hosted by Mt. San Jacinto College

Seven teams make up the OEC and Saddleback came away with the first win of the season with a team score of 307.

Saddleback was followed by Orange Coast College (323), Cuyamaca (365), College of the Desert (380), Mt. SAC (403), Mt. San Jacinto (448) and Fullerton (459).

The low medalist was Amber Davalos of Saddleback.

Mt. SAC was led by Katerina Cervantes with an 85. She was followed by Emilia Hickman (100), Payton Dawson (108), and Julie Gutierrez (110).

Mt. SAC continues OEC play Wednesday (Sept. 22) at Ironwood Country Club in Palm Desert. The event will be hosted by College of the Desert.
