Mt. SAC's Saelee Shoots a 74 to win Orange Empire Conference Match #6

(San Marcos, CA) As the Mt. SAC Women's Golf conference season hits the halfway mark, the quest for second place continues between the Mounties and Saddleback Colleges.

Despite Mt. SAC golfer Precious Saelee finishing atop the leader board with a score of 74, Saddleback (352) finished ahead of Mt. SAC (360), in second place, for the third time.  in the overall Orange Empire Conference (OEC) standings the two teams are tied for second with identical 33-9 records.

The latest match took place in the beautiful coastal foothills of North San Diego County, at the par-71, 6,400 yard St. Marks Golf Course in San Marcos.

College of the Desert (348) is currently leading the the conference with a perfect 42-0 record.

The 74 by Saelee marks the second time in conference play this season that the freshman has been low medalist.  This time she bested Saddleback's Katie Stribling (77) by three strokes. The two golfers have been in season long battle for the conferences #1 position.  Finals team scores for the match were;  Saddleback (352), Mt. SAC (360), Cuyamaca (363), Palomar (391), Mt. San Jacinto (402), Orange Coast (430).

Conference action continues for the Mounties next Wednesday (Oct. 2), as they host the OEC Women's Golf Neutral Match, at Los Serranos Golf Club. The match will be held on the par-72 North Course.
