Mt. SAC's Precious Saelee Finishes Fourth in North/South Women's Golf Invite

(Morro Bay, CA) With the fourth best round of the day, Mt. SAC's Precious Saelee finished with an overall fourth place in the North-South Women's Golf Invitational at Morro Bay Golf Course Monday (Sept. 23).

Saelee, who has been at or near the top in almost every round this season, carded a two-day, 155 (78-77) on the par-72 course that will host the CCCAA State Championships November 17-18.

The medalist, Haruka Koda of College of the Canyons, was nine strokes better than Saelee, shooting a 146 (73-73).

The team title went to Canyons (636), which won the event for the second year in a row. The Mounties placed a distant eighth out of 14 teams with a score of 688, which featured 77 golfers.

The remainder of the Mt. SAC scores are as follows: Katherine Chan 86-84 (170), Cristina Liu 93-85 (178), Lisa Romero 94-91 (185), Kima Blake 99-110 (209) and Malaysia Thompson 102-108 (210).

The Mounties return to Orange Empire Conference play Wednesday (Sept. 25) for Match No. 6 at St. Mark Country Club in San Marcos. The event is hosted by Palomar College.
