Women Golf Finish in Third at Orange Empire Conference Match No. 3 at Temecula Creek Inn Golf Course

(Temecula, CA) For the third Orange Empire Conference match in a row the Mt. SAC Women's Golf team finished in third place at the Temecula Creek Inn Golf Course on Wednesday.

The Mounties also remain in third place after three of six matches in conference with a 6-6 record.

"They did the best they could," said Mt. SAC Women's Golf coach Greg Osbourne, who is a PGA member. "I'm proud of the way they played and stuck to the course.

"Their attitude was incredibly positive during the match and really enthusiastic."

Leading the Mounties with scores of 86 was No. 1 player, freshman Mackenzie Kelly and No. 2 sophomore, Brianna Pulido.

Freshmen Alex Le Mons and Ryanne Broughton both carded 92's for the Mounties for a four-player score of 356.

"Alex is hitting her driver really well and is very positive with her play," Osbourne said.

The Mounties finished with two wins and two losses on the day, beating out Fullerton (1-3), 357 by a stroke and Orange Coast College (0-4) with no score.

Saddleback College (4-0) led all scorers with a 333, followed by Irvine Valley College (3-1), 348.

Mt. SAC was the only team of five with six players in the competition.
