(Visalia, CA) San Joaquin Delta College (4-3) handed Mt. San Antonio College (2-4) a 76-59 defeat in the opening round of the College of the Sequoias Tournament in Visalia on Thursday, Dec. 1. The loss was the fourth in a row for the Mounties.
Kamesha Moore led Mt. SAC in scoring with 17 points while grabbing eight rebounds. Other top scorers for the Mounties included Dailani Richardson and Carley Bolden, who scored eight each.
Endigo Parker had a team-high nine rebounds for Mt. SAC.
The only team categories the Mounties outperformed the Mustangs in were bench scoring (32-20) and free throw percentage (71.4% - 68.3%).
Mt. SAC will face Los Angeles Valley College (2-2) in the next round of the tournament on Friday, Dec. 2, at 1 p.m.
