(Walnut, CA) We invite you to come out and support the #4 seed Mt. SAC Mounties (21-8), as they host #13 seed Irvine Valley (22-5), in the second round of the CCCAA Playoffs, this Saturday at 7:00 pm. Both teams received first round byes and will look to extend their seasons. Mt. SAC looks to capture an unprecedented 9th state championship (Mounties lead the state with the most state championships at 8), while the 2019 Orange Empire Conference Champions Irvine Valley looks to capture their first.
The last time the two teams met was last season (March 3, 2018) in the 3rd round of playoffs, where the Lasers came away with a, 76-71, upset victory to advance to the state championships.
The winner of the game will move on to the regional final on Saturday, March 9 and play either #5 Ventura or #12 Rio Hondo.
Tickets for the contest are available for purchase at the door. Ticket prices are:
- $12 for adults (13 to 59 years of age)
- $8 for students/faculty/staff/seniors (60 years of age and older) with ID
