Walnut, Calif. – After an explosive stretch of games, the Mt. SAC Mounties are back in the top five.

Following back-to-back 15-0 run-rule victories over Long Beach City College and Rio Hondo College, as well as a 9-3 win against LA Harbor, Mt. SAC has climbed to No. 5 in the latest California Community College Fastpitch Coaches' Association Poll in Week Four.

The Mounties sit at 9-1 overall and remain undefeated in South Coast Conference play at 5-0. The only teams ranked ahead of Mt. SAC are College of San Mateo, Palomar College, West Valley College, and El Camino College — all of whom are currently unbeaten.

Offensively, the Mounties have been dominant. Through 10 games, the team has scored 94 runs while batting .386 with a .491 on-base percentage. Mt. SAC has also launched six home runs and continues to apply pressure throughout the lineup.

A highly anticipated conference showdown against undefeated El Camino, originally scheduled for February 17, has been postponed due to rain and moved to Saturday, February 21.

Next up, the Mounties will travel for a key conference matchup against Cerritos College (7-3, 4-0) on Thursday, February 19. They return home on Friday, February 20, to host Grossmont College (4-5) at 2:00 p.m.

With a strong start and an undefeated conference record, the Mounties continue to build momentum as the season progresses.
