(Rancho Cucamonga, CA) For the third consecutive season, the Mt. SAC Softball Team is in the midst of a massive winning streak.

In 2017, the Mounties won a record 20-in-a-row, followed by 18 consecutive wins in their 2018 state championship season. Tuesday (3/5) was lucky number 13 and counting for the Mounties, with an 11-2 win over host Chaffey College in a South Coast Conference North game.

Trailing 2-1 in the third inning, the Mounties scored six runs and went on to record a season-high 17 hits for the win over the Panthers to improve their overall record to 13-1 and a perfect 7-0 in conference.

Highlighting the inning was a two-run triple by first baseman Vicky Gutierrez (1 for 4, R) and a two-run home run by catcher Adriana Ramirez (1-2, R).

Having a perfect day at the plate was Mt. SAC center fielder Ally Longtree, going 3 for 3, scored a run and stole a base.

Ciara Granado (2-4, R, RBI) also hit a solo homerun in the second inning for the Mounties.

Left fielder Candace Haliburton and designated player Rayven Spencer each had two hits for the Mounties.

Weather-permitting, the Mounties will travel to Compton College in a conference game Thursday (3/7). Game time is set for 3:00 pm.
