(Louisville, KY) Mt. SAC Softball Catcher, Taylor Jaurique was named the 2017 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) CAL JC Diamond Catcher of the Year! The sophomore catcher out of Wilson High School in Hacienda Heights, California, lead the Mounties with a .907 slugging percentage, .477 batting average, 51 hits, 10 home runs, 44 RBI, 35 runs scored, and a .517 on-base percentage. While catching in 36 games, Jaurique did not commit a single error in 190 chances. She threw out four of the 12 opponents that attempted to seal against her.
