(Riverside, CA) In the first major invitational of the season, where the Mt. SAC Men's Cross Country team competed against top University DI and DII College teams, the Mounties finished 15th and 21st in the Open and Invitational divisions, respectively, at the Annual University of California Riverside Invitational on Saturday, September 17.
Two hundred and twenty-eight runners competed on the 8K course in the Open Division and Mt. SAC's top finisher was Andres Chavez (5:19.5) in 61st.
In the Invitational Division with 272 runners, Mt. SAC's top runner was sophomore Jesse Alvarado finishing 12th with a time of 24:07.8.

The Mounties will next compete at the CCCAA So Cal Preview to be held at the Kern County Soccer Park on Friday, September 23.
