Mounties Men's Cross Country Finishes Second at Southern Regional Championships

(San Diego, CA) The Mt. SAC Men's Cross Country Team tallied 100 points at the Southern California Regional Cross Country Championships at Mission Park in San Diego on Friday, good enough for a second-place finish behind San Diego Mesa, which scored 30 points. Glendale College came in third with 113 points.

Daniel Abdala (4th place, 21:18.6) and Lorenzo Orozco (9th, 21:39.3) finished in the race's top 10 for the Mounties. Zackary Alexander (25th, 22:05.3), Isaiah Wilson (30th, 22:08.0), Bryce Butler (36th, 22:19.3), David Bazaldua (51st, 22:37.6), and Vicente Huerta (71st, 23:01.4) rounded out the field of Mt. SAC runners..

The Mounties will compete at the California Community College Athletic Association Cross Country State Championships on Saturday, Nov. 23, at Woodward Park in Fresno.at 11 a.m.
