(Moorpark, CA) The Mt. San Antonio College Men's Track and Field team tallied 28 points in the preliminary round of the California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Regionals, putting the Mounties in second place. San Diego Mesa College is currently in first place with 47 points, while Cerritos College and Riverside City College are tied for third with 15 points each. The prelims took place at Moorpark College on Friday, May 6.
On the day, Mt. SAC athletes placed first in 10 events, second in four and third in three. Of particular note, five Mounties placed tied for first in the pole vault, and four occupied the top four spots in the triple jump and 100-meter dash.
The CCCAA SoCal Regional Championships will take place on Friday, May 13, at Moorpark College. In total 38 individuals and two relay teams will represent Mt. SAC in the meet.
