(Victorville, CA) For the first time in over two years, the Mt. SAC Men's Tennis team took the court, coming away with a 9-0 season-opening road win over Victor Valley College (0-1) on Tuesday, April 20.
In singles competition, Ricky Lizardo (6-0, 6-0), Reid Lizardo (6-0, 6-1), Tommy Folsom (6-0, 6-0), Lucas VanZee (6-0, 6-0), Eric Chang (6-0, 6-0), and Nick Muranaka (6-1, 6-3) were victorious for the Mounties (1-0).
The doubles teams of Ricky Lizardo/Reid Lizardo (8-1), Folsom/VanZee (8-0), and Chang/Jason Padilla (8-2) also won their matches, rounding out Mt. SAC's scoring.
The Mounties will play their first home match of the season on Thursday, April 22, against Ventura College (0-3). Due to COVID-19 restrictions, no spectators are allowed.
