Mt. SAC Women's Swim and Dive Team Claims Victory at 2025 Riverside Last Chance Invite

Riverside, Calif. – The Mt. SAC Women's Swim and Dive Team was a force to be reckoned with, emerging victorious at the 2025 Riverside Last Chance Invite with a score of 812 on Friday, April 4. Riverside followed in second with a score of 617, while Long Beach City rounded out the top three with 611.

Carolyn Kao was a standout performer, leading the Mounties with first-place finishes in the 100 Free (54.92) and 100 IM (1:04.11). She also earned a second-place finish in the 50 Free (25.25), proving to be a consistent asset to the team.

Megan Venegas made significant contributions with victories in the 1650 Free (18:55.87) and 500 Free (5:28.47), along with a third-place finish in the 200 Free (2:03.69). Elleanna Ramos added to the team's success with first-place finishes in both the 100 Fly (58.64) and 200 Fly (2:13.66).

Spencer Damaske excelled in the breaststroke and individual medley events, winning the 100 Breast (1:09.24) and 400 IM (4:43.93), while Genevieve Niko earned first place in the 50 Free (25.05) and second in the 100 Free (55.60).

Paige Fast contributed two first-place finishes in the 200 Free (2:02.00) and 200 Back (2:17.10), along with a third-place finish in the 100 IM (1:04.71). Eden Buell added a first-place finish in the 100 Back (1:02.25).

Diver Lily Burson delivered strong performances as well, finishing first in the 3M diving (172.70) and second in the 1M diving (177.40), showcasing the depth of the Mounties' talents.

The relay teams also stood out, with Kao, Venegas, Ramos, Damaske, and Niko taking first place in both the 200 Medley Relay (1:52.08) and the 800 Free Relay (8:18.32).

NEXT UP:

The Mounties will next compete in the South Coast Conference Diving Championships on Friday, April 11, at Long Beach City College. Following that, they will compete in the SCC Swimming Championships from April 17-19 at East Los Angeles College. Keep the momentum going, Mounties!
