Mt. SAC Dominates PCC, El Camino in SCC Swimming; Chow Wins Three Events, Egan Two

(Walnut, CA) The Mt. SAC Men's Swimming Team kept their early-season dominance going as they defeated both Pasadena City and El Camino colleges in dual meets at the Marie T. Mills Aquatics Center Friday (Feb. 28).

In the first conference dual action of the season, the Mounties defeated PCC, 158-104 and El Camino, 210-62.

Leading the way individually was freshman Nathan Chow with first-place finishes in the 200 Freestyle (1:45.53), 200 Backstroke (2:02.71) and the 200 Individual Medley (1:59.13). He was also on the first-place 400 Free Relay team. Freshman Parker Egan won the two long-distance events - 500 (4:58.42) and 1000 (10:35.76) Freestyle. Egan was also on the 400 Free Relay team.

Jonathan Olvera took a first in the 200 Butterfly (1:57.49) and a second in both the 100 Fly (54.32) and the 200 IM (2:06.04), while Cole Kopperud finished with three seconds - 200 Free (1:49.10), 100 Free (50.60) and the 500 Free (5:00.27).

Mt. SAC will host Cerritos and Rio Hondo Friday (Mar. 6) in SCC action beginning at 10:00 am.
