El Camino scores late goal to defeat Mt. SAC Men's Soccer in SCC crossover game

(Torrance, CA) Host El Camino College (14-2, 6-1) broke a scoreless tie in the 81st minute with what proved to be the decisive goal to defeat Mt. San Antonio College, 1-0, in a South Coast Conference crossover game on Tuesday, Oct. 25.

The Mounties (12-5, 4-3) were aggressive offensively, making nine shots on goal, but none of them found the back of the net.

Jacob Cardenas played all 90 minutes in goal for Mt. SAC, making three saves.

The loss drops the Mounties to second in the SCC North Division standings, half a game behind Rio Hondo College (9-6-3, 4-2-1). Next up for Mt. SAC is a home SCC North matchup with Los Angeles City College (11-5-2, 3-3-1) on Friday, Oct. 28, at 4 p.m.
