Shutout SCC win against East L.A. ends Mountie Men's Soccer two-game losing streak

(Walnut, CA) Following a two-game losing streak, host Mt. San Antonio College (11-4, 3-2) got back on track with a 6-0 South Coast Conference North Division win against East Los Angeles College (5-9-3, 0-4-1) on Tuesday, Oct. 18.

Frank Gonzalez led the Mounties with two goals, while teammates Andrew Vazquez and Edward Castro each scored one and had two assists apiece. Alex Mendez and Jason A. Garcia scored Mt. SAC's other goals and Jonathan Vivar and Ernesto Figueroa-Lopez accounted for the other assists.

Jacob Cardenas and Daniel Ramirez split time in goal for the Mounties, playing 45 minutes each with two saves each.

Next up, Mt. SAC hits the road to take on Pasadena City College (7-6-2, 1-4) in an SCC North game on Friday, Oct. 21, at 4:15 p.m.
