Late score by Perez gives Mounties win over Santiago Canyon

(Orange, CA) Mt. SAC (3-1) got back on the winning track with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over host Santiago Canyon (0-1-1) on Monday.

Trailing 1-0 through 32 minutes, Jason Garcia put the Mounties on the board on an assist from Eddie Cabrera in the 33rd minute. Uly Perez put the ball in the net on an assist from Gabriel Arredondo in the 74th minute on what proved to be the decisive score.

Ryan Molina (one goal allowed, two saves) and Jacob Cardenas (two saves) split time in goal for Mt. SAC, playing 45 minutes each.

The Mounties will host Oxnard (2-1) in a non-conference contest on Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 6 p.m.
