(Torrance, CA) Mt. SAC (15-0-3, 6-0-2) and El Camino College (10-1-5, 3-1-4) played to a 1-1 tie on Tuesday night, keeping the Mounties unbeaten and at the top the South Coast Conference standings to end their regular-season schedule.
Alan Piceno scored the Mounties' only goal on an assist from Ivan Escobar and Herminio Padilla at the 9:46 mark. The goal came off a rebounded shot on goal by Padilla. The Warriors responded with a goal of their own at 20:24 into the match.
Goalkeeper Alain Hernandez had one save in 90 minutes for Mt. SAC.
The Mounties will host an opening-round match of the SCC playoffs on Friday, Nov. 8, at 4 p.m. against a yet-to-be-determined opponent.
