Mt. SAC Men’s Golf finishes first again; Bryan Saw low medalist with a 70

(San Dimas, CA) The Mt. SAC Men's Golf team keeps on rolling along with another first-place finish in the Orange Empire Conference Match No. 5 at the Via Verde CC Wednesday (May 5).

The Mounties (374) finished 13 strokes better than second-place Cypress (387). Riverside City College (393) followed with Orange Coast College (402) and Saddleback (402) in a tie for fourth. Victor Valley was sixth with a 452.

"I am so proud of the way our team supports each other and are always in control," Mt. SAC Men's Golf Coach Greg Osbourne said. "They are the best yet."

The Mounties extended their lead in the OEC with a 28-2 record atop the standings.

Bryan Saw was low medalist with a 2-under Par 70 (35-35).

Saw, averaging 73.6 after five matches, had three birdies on the front nine and two birdies and six pars on the back nine.

"It was a nice solid round by Bryan," Osbourne said.

Saw was followed by Amaan Patel, 74 (35-37), Felix Tsui, 74 (37-37), Kotaro Noda, 77 (40-37), Brandon Winters, 79 (38-41) and Ben Sanders, 83 (41-42).

Mt. SAC travels to the Costa Mesa CC for Match No. 6 Monday (May 10).
