(Pasadena, CA) Mt. San Antonio College (2-2) scored a 60-54 win over Antelope Valley College (1-3) in the opening round of the Skip Robinson Classic at Pasadena City College on Thursday, Nov. 17.
Nick Hopkins led the Mounties with 12 points off the bench, while teammates Dante Victor and Jay Milner added 11 points each, and LJ McClain contributed 10. Hopkins also led the team with nine rebounds as Matthew Brown, Mikah Gardner, and McClain pulled down seven apiece.
The Marauders' Joshua Assiff led all players with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
As a team, Mt. SAC outplayed Antelope Valley in points in the paint (18-16) and bench scoring (14-9).
The Mounties will face Barstow College (0-5) in the second round of the tournament on Friday, Nov. 18, at 3 p.m
