(Ontario, CA) After starting the season 3-8, the Mt. SAC Men's Basketball team has turned it around, winning nine of the last 12 games, and are on a five-game winning streak in the South Coast Conference North.
The latest win was over host Chaffey College, 58-53, on Friday to get them over the .500 mark (12-11) overall and raise its conference record to 5-1 to remain tied with East Los Angeles College for first in conference.
The Mounties have a showdown against the Huskies with first-place at stake on Wednesday at ELAC. Only four games remain in the regular season.
The five-game conference winning streak has vaulted the Mounties to a No. 14 ranking in Southern California in the latest poll (Jan. 29) by the California Community College Men's Basketball Coaches Association.
